``Leaf`` is a versatile, anonymous online artist that has worked with fine and digital art mediums since 2012. She creates work that pushes the boundary of expressiveness, brings imagination to life, and her favorite: draws lots of critters!
With an Associate of Science in Digital Media, she has expanded her capabilities in a wide range of art forms including animation, fine art, graphic design, film making, and photography. In addition freelancing, she is part of a Roblox development team called Obelus Studios and creates concept art for their game "The Island of Mezaai". Primarily Leaf has used her knowledge of art to enhance educational settings. She was employed for three years as a Visual Arts Guide at a Montessori school and a long-term Substitute Art Teacher at a private school, creating interactive and educational projects for students K-12. She currently works in education fulltime in addition to freelancing.
Leaf strives to move forward as a “jack of all trades” in the art world, hoping to expand her online freelancing career while simultaneously going back to school for a teaching degree. She likes to have fun with her work, pushing the limits of expression and fluidity in each piece as if it would jump from the page.
In 2012 Leaf started a YouTube channel and discovered a plethora of online animations and art. She taught herself how to animate and draw on the computer with a mouse, Microsoft Paint, and Windows Movie Maker. Her favorite things to draw back then were cats. She continued to make small animations and artwork all throughout her childhood, teenage years, and continues to this day.
Some of her biggest inspirations were the Warrior cat books by Erin Hunter, Don Bluth, Disney, Dreamworks, The Island of Mezaa RPG, and the countless online animators back in the day. She started making professional commissions around 2016.
